2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The main thesis point I will argue here is that Christ belief and modern political 'liberalism' are in such a terrible conflict of tension that, to try and hold both worldviews (Christ belief and modern political 'liberalism') is increasingly incoherent and likely to get the person mixed up in some bad doctrines of men and on the wrong track.
A main criticism of liberal Christianity is that the movement generally fields many leftists who side with Islamic supremacists in their glorification of Islamophobia hoax, while denying the actual ongoing genocide of Christianophobic nature. If Western Christians wont speak for these martyred Christ believers who are dying in Asia and Africa, then who will? I have noticed that liberal Christians seem to want to talk about Islamophobia and aww, poor Salafists and Wahhabists, while making tangible efforts at sweeping Christianophobia under the rug.
Non-Muslims and religious minorities are (as a major data point and pattern) treated horribly in Muslim majority nations. Muslims are treated wonderfully and even favorably nowadays, under Obama/Merkel, when they go to Western and Judeo-Christian nations such as Israel. So if the Islamophobia industry hoaxers (and their leftist allies) were serious at all about thwarting genocide and promoting tolerance, then they would start in their own repressive nations that are ruled by Islamic governments.
These are simply crocodile tears when Obama talks about Muslims being mistreated en masse in US, even though they aren't, and of course he also refuses to acknowledge the Christianophobic genocide. I don't care what kind of liberal Christianity or false tolerance rhetoric these leftists and Islamic supremacists would try and guilt trip me with. They have NO moral credibility at all to shed crocodile tears on Islamophobia if they are also going to deny and defend Christianophobic violence, as Obama implicitly does.
In the gospel of John, he states (speaking of Jesus) that John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Postmodern political liberalism seems to vehemently disagree. Liberalism's assault against Christianity reveals their worldview belief that Christianity must decrease and liberalism must increase. They think that liberal ideas and teachings are just wonderful, in reality these are very dangerous, unsafe ideas that are wrongheaded both morally and logically. Moreover, to quote a favored liberal buzzword, these unsafe ideas are also unfair to (blame and shame) the victims of foreign political violence.
Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
2 Peter 2:2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
1 Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
